Gerd Häusler
Member of the Supervisory Board, Munich Reinsurance; Former Chairman and CEO, Bayerisch Landesbank

Mr. Gerd Häusler is currently a Member of the Supervisory Board at Munich Reinsurance. He is also a Senior Advisor at goetzpartners. Prior to this, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bayerische Landesbank, where he served as CEO from 2010 through March 2014. From October 2008 to March 2010, Mr. Häusler was a member of the Board of Directors and a Senior Advisor at RHJ International after having served the previous two years at Lazard as a Vice-Chairman and Managing Director in their Financial Institutions Group and the Sovereign Debt Advisory practice.
Between 2001 and 2006 he was Counselor and Director of the International Capital Markets Department of the IMF responsible for all financial markets-related work and is credited with the creation of the Global Financial Stability Report. Before, Mr. Häusler was a Member of the Board of Managing Directors at Dresdner Bank AG in Frankfurt (1996 to 2000) and Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in London (1997 to 2000). He spent the first 18 years of this career at Deutsche Bundesbank, the two last of them (1994-1996) on the Executive Board and the Central Bank Council..
In addition Gerd Häusler serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of MunichRe and as Chairman of the BHF Kleinwort Benson Group.
Gerd Häusler studied Law and Economics at the Universities of Frankfurt and Geneva and has been a member of the Group of Thirty since 1996.
